Sebastian is a Research Associate in the neural models team to advance in vitro brain models. He holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Bayreuth. For his Master’s thesis, he worked on generating an iPSC based model to study hereditary Parkinson’s Disease. He also spent time at SAHMRI (Australia) modelling childhood neurodegeneration using iPSCs. In his last research experience at Roche, he was part of a stem cell-based project exploring ways to generate a novel expression system for large molecules.
